About This Webinar:

Force Majeure is a French term literally translating to “a superior force.”  A “legal treatise” law students use while going through law school, “Black’s Law Dictionary” explains that a force majeure clause “is meant to protect the parties in the event that a contract cannot be performed due to causes which are outside the control of the parties and could not be avoided by exercise of due care.”

In the current context of COVID-19 and construction contracts, there are currently a number of “legal spins” on this general definition.

At this webinar you will understand:

• Force Majeure

• What can qualify as a Force Majeure expense

• Who pays for a Force Majeure expense

• Where to find the terms that trip Force Majeure

• What types of contracts contain Force Majeure clauses
