Tom Butt is the founding principal of Interactive Resources and has more than 44 years of architectural and project management experience, most recently focused on building envelope design, failure diagnostics and repair, as well as in historic preservation.

Tom has been a prolific author of technical articles on architecture, and he chairs two ASTM task groups responsible for building envelope design and product standards.

Currently, Interactive Resources has two Forensic Architecture and Engineering contracts with the State of California, DGS. The forensic scope of work includes investigations of failures and problems with components and systems associated with buildings, sites and structures. Services include information gathering and analysis, standardized testing, dismantling of building systems, designing and engineering components and systems for construction, construction estimating, reports, code research and compliance, depositions and expert witness.
